Frequently asked questions
Pricing & First Visit
- Why is the first visit more expensive? That first scoop is the “big clean". I’m clearing any buildup and giving your yard a full reset. Once everything is caught up, your regular visits stay quick and consistent.
- What does the initial clean include? The initial clean includes a detailed walkthrough and a full removal of all existing waste. During this visit, we’ll also go over your entrance preferences, payment method, and any other info that helps me take great care of your yard.
- Do you charge per dog? Yes. I use a simple pricing structure based on number of dogs, and yard size so that your rate reflects the actual time and care your property needs.
- Do you offer discounts? Yes! If a neighbor signs up because of your referral, you’ll get 20% off your next service as a thank you.
Yard access
- How do you get into my yard? We will discuss gate access during your initial meet and greet. Many clients provide gate codes or leave gates unlocked on service days. Whatever works best for you.
- What if my gate is locked? If your gate is locked and I cannot access your yard, I will notify you, and service may need to be rescheduled.
- Can you work with dogs in the yard? Friendly dogs are welcome to hang out while I work. If your dog is nervous, protective, or a flight risk, I just ask that they stay inside during the visit.
- Do I need to pick up toys or anything before you come? There’s no need to tidy up toys or yard items before your visit. I work around whatever your pup leaves out.
Scheduling & Routes
- What day will you come to my house? Your service day is assigned based on my established routes in Southern Maine. If your area isn’t currently on a route, reach out anyway, my schedule can be flexible when possible.
- Can I choose my service day? I do my best to accommodate preferences, but service days are primarily determined by routing so I can stay efficient and reliable for all clients.
- Do I need to be home during service? No. After our first meet and greet, all visits can be fully contactless as long as the yard is accessible.
- How often do you come? I offer one time cleanups and weekly service. If you need something special or outside the usual schedule, just give me a call.
- What happens if I need to skip a week? Please contact me ahead of time if you need to skip. Depending on the timing, I can reschedule or adjust your service as needed.

- Do you offer auto billing? Yes, I offer auto billing for hassle free, recurring payments on the 1st of the month.

Weather & seasonal questions
